David Alford, 46, a loving father and grandfather, of Springtown, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in Azle, Texas.Born December 9, 1960 in Sacramento, California, son of James E. and Dorothy M. Harris Alford, David was reared in Parker County. He was a team roper, loved reading, movies and was a pro at the game of "Jeopardy". Currently, David served as president of the Reno Citizens for Better Government. Known as a family man, David loved his family very much and will be remembered not only for his caring and loving nature but his high work ethic.He was preceded in death by his father, James Alford in 2002.David is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Walker and husband, Jeremiah of Trinity; sons, David Tyler Alford and James Daniel Alford, both of Weatherford; granddaughters, Alexandria Walker and Angel Walker; mother, Dorothy Henderson and husband, Reginal of Weatherford; sisters, Linda Eadie and Sandie Morgan and husband, Jerry of Aledo; nephews, Jerrod Morgan, Trevor Morgan, Dalton Eadie; and a host of loving family and friends.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Annetta Cemetery. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
