Roger Earl Hawkins

Roger Hawkins, 55, of Granbury, a loving father and grandfather, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007.Born Roger Earl Hawkins Sr., Nov. 8, 1951 in Fort Worth, son of Randall Earl and Phyllis Short Hawkins, he loved to fish, NASCAR, being in the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. Roger worked for the railroad for 38 years.He was preceded in death by his father, Randall E. Hawkins and granddaughter, Samantha Rae Holder.Roger is survived by his son, Roger Hawkins Jr. and wife, Tara of Frisco; daughter, Christie Hall of Alvord; grandchildren, Michaela Hall and Reece Hawkins; stepdaughter, Cindy Scoma of Grandview; step grandchildren, Jimmy "Bubba" Scoma and Levi Scoma; stepson, Craig Howington; brother, Mark Hawkins and wife, Renee; sisters, Sondra Wood and husband, Gil, Phyllis Frommeyer and husband, Robert, and Patti Jones and husband, Steve. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at White's Azle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Azleland Cemetery, Azle. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
