Gary R. Blair, 55, passed away peacefully at home and was carried by the angels to his Heavenly home, Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, surrounded by the love of his family.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Education Research Foundation of Texas, 900 W. Magnolia, Ft. Worth, TX 76104. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Springtown Baptist Temple in Springtown. Burial: Cottondale Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at White's Funeral Home. The son of George H. Blair and Helen Swendell Blair, Gary was born Sept. 21, 1951 in Ft. Worth. He graduated in 1971 from Brewer High School, and then he served his country in the U.S. Army until 1974. Gary had worked for John C. Tucker, Co., for the past ten years, doing inside sales. He was a dedicated Sunday School teacher who loved to worship and serve the Lord. Gary touched and inspired all who knew him. He was an avid bass fisherman for most of his life, he could always be counted on to be ready to go. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul David Blair. Survivors: He will be greatly missed by his wife, Wanda; son, Chad Blair of White Settlement; daughter, Shirley Reynolds and husband, Joe of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Caitlin, Kristen, Tyler and Wyatt of Ft. Worth; sister, Nancy Hampton and husband, Ted of Springtown; brother-in-law, Royce Calk and wife, Andrea of Ft. Worth; aunts, Mary Arnold abd husband, Jim of Cottondale, Joy Dehaan and husband, Chuck of Graford; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His kindness and love are a gift that his friends and family will always carry with them. Gary will be missed, but always remembered.
