Bobby Ray Evans

Bobby Ray Evans, 55, passed away at his home in Millsap Sunday, August. 26, 2007. Funeral: 11 am Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Aledo Burial: Poe Prarie Cemetery in Millsap. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Bob was born in San Benito, the son of Arvil and Jean Oliver Evans. He graduated with a B.S. from East Texas State University and was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Bob lived in Wylie for 22 years before moving to Millsap. He was a member of the Millsap Church of Christ. Bob had worked in the air conditioning business for 34 years, and was currently employed by Rheem Heating and Air Conditioning. He was preceded in death by his father, Arvil; grandparents, Mamie Lee and William Eugene Evans, and Ada Lee and Bill Oliver. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Jenny Gilbert Evans; sons, Brandon Evans and wife, Cindi, Jamison Evans and wife, Jennifer; granddaughters, Shaylan Evans and Baby Girl Evans due in November; mother, Jean Oliver Evans; brother, Chuck Evans and wife, Sheryl; sisters, Suzette McCaslin and husband, Jimmy, Tammi Asire and husband, Randy; mother-in-law, Juan Etta Gilbert; sisters-in-law, Valarie Gilbert, Paula Watson and husband, Rick, and Gloria Barron and husband, Greg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, one great-nephew, and many loving friends Bob, "Smiley" never met a stranger; he could put a smile on anyone's face.
