Jose Cruz Meraz

Jose Meraz, 52, of Azle, a loving husband, father and friend, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 in a local hospital.Jose Cruz Meraz was born May 14, 1955 in Suchil Durango, Mexico. For the past fifteen years Jose worked as an automotive painter for Moritz. He was very active and enjoyed being with his family and friends. Jose was always there to help anyone in need.He was preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Meraz Zamundio. Survivors include wife, Rebecca Ramon Meraz of Azle; daughter, Jennifer Meraz; son, Alexander Meraz; mother, Lorenza Castaneda de Meraz; sisters, Maria de la Paz and husband, Santiago of Mexico and Concha Lerma and husband, Epiphiano of Fort Worth; brothers, Gumercindo Meraz and wife, Chelo of Azle, Juan Meraz and wife, Maria of Terrell, Neno Meraz and wife, Sara of Terrell; uncle, Reyes Castaneda of Kaufman; aunt, Socorro Ortiz of Fort Worth; and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 800 Hillcrest Drive, Azle. Burial will follow in Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Rosary services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home.
