Lota Fay Like Shuffler

Lota Fay Like Shuffler, of Mineral Wells, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007 at a local nursing home.Lota Fay Like was born in Erath County, daughter of the late Joe B. and Isabell Like. She was a lifetime area resident and a seventy-five year member of the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells. She worked for Montgomery Wards, The Specialty Shop and retired from City National Bank of Mineral Wells.Lota was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry T. Shuffler in 2001; sisters, Vera Kearby, Veda Roach, Lucille Johnson, Irene Moore; brothers, Johnnie Like and Charlie Like.Lota is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Tomerlin and husband, John; grandchildren, Kathy Funderburg and husband, Jerry, Terry Tomerlin and wife, Heidi, and Mike Tomerlin; great grandchildren, Shannon Jones and husband, Daniel, Chris Green, Matt Tomerlin, Andy Tomerlin, Seth Tomerlin, Katie Tomerlin; great-great grandson, Jesse Jones.Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at White's Mineral Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
