John Rhoades

John Rhoades, 72, of Weatherford, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007 at a Fort Worth hospital.Born September 27, 1935 in Shannon, Texas to the late Alonzo and Janie Rhoades, John was a long time resident of Weatherford. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and was a "jack of all trades."He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a granddaughter.John is survived by his wife, Ruthie "Kathy" Rhoades of Weatherford; sons, Johnny Rhoades and wife, Karen of Hobbs, NM, Harlen Rhoades and wife, Irma of Midland, Eddie Rhoades of Midland, Bryan Rhoades of Weatherford; daughter, Alycia Reddell and husband Doyle of Mineral Wells; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Wallace Rhoades and wife, Pat of Bowie; sister, LaVerne Conway and husband, Doyle of Jacksboro.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Whitt Cemetery, Whitt. The family will receive guests 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
