Margie Grissom

Margie Grissom, 75, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007 at a Weatherford care center.Margie Grissom was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Garner, the daughter of the late John and Gladys Bergin Coalson. Margie was valedictorian of her graduating class at Millsap High School and attended Weatherford College. She was the longtime owner of D&W Furniture in Abilene, where she was involved with the Abilene Philharmonic League. She and Charles lived in Abilene until his passing in 2001 and Margie moved back to Weatherford in 2002. She was a longtime member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Grissom; and her parents.Survivors include sons, Chuck Grissom and wife, Carol, of Dallas, and John Grissom and wife, Laurie, of Grapevine; grandson, Cole Grissom; granddaughter, Adrienne Grissom; brother, Mac Coalson and wife, Tommie, of Garner; sisters, Alleen Stringer and Jonnie Crum and husband, Wilmer, all of Mineral Wells; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 6657 N. FM Rd. 113, Weatherford. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery.
