Linda Ruth Heartsill McGuire

Linda Heartsill McGuire, surrounded by her loving children, passed away peacefully at her home in Weatherford on Monday morning, October 29, 2007. A loving mother, a wonderful friend, a courageous fighter, Linda leaves heartbroken family and friends with countless memories to cherish forever.Linda was born January 29th, 1945 in Weatherford to Mayme Ruth Barber and John L. Heartsill. A lifelong resident of Weatherford, Linda dedicated her life to her children, providing unwavering support and unmatched love to each of them. Along with her late husband, Marvin "Mick" McGuire, Linda could often be found cheering her children and grandchildren through various activities. Linda also enjoyed friendly gatherings for a game of spades or bridge. She is survived by her parents, Mayme Ruth and John L. Heartsill of Weatherford; brothers Sam and Dan Heartsill of Weatherford; and children Marvin Hurt McGuire IV of Orange Park, Fla, John L. Heartsill McGuire of Weatherford, Matthew Land McGuire of Pearland, TX and Marianne Barber McGuire of Weatherford. Along with her parents, brothers and children, Linda leaves behind loving memories for her grandchildren to hold dear. They are Marvin Hurt V, Tanner, Sofia and Chloe McGuire of Orange Park, Fla; Brenna and Sloan McGuire of Weatherford; Laylah Grace Ewell of Weatherford; and the expected Landon Hugh McGuire of Pearland, TX.Visitation will be held at White's Funeral Home Wednesday October 31, 2007 6:00p.m. Funeral ceremony will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Greenwood Baptist Church, 1504 Greenwood Cut-Off Road, Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Community Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following: American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, Weatherford Senior Service Center.
