Phillip Leslie "Les" Parker -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AZLE -- Phillip Leslie "Les" Parker, 75, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at his residence in Azle. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Burial: Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery, South Stewart Street, Azle. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Les Parker was born Aug. 3, 1932, in Azle, son of the late Phillip Wilbur and Emma Louise Admire Parker Goldsmith. He was a lifetime resident of Azle and honorably served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy. Les married the former Johnie Evelyn Beauchamp 55 years ago and together started their family. He was employed by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for 17 years before working as a firefighter at Lockheed-Martin for ten years and prior to that, he made his career with CSC. Les was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid fisherman whom loved to travel. Les was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Emma Parker. Survivors: Wife, Johnie Parker of Azle; son, John Parker and wife, Barbara, of Azle; daughter, Merry Cashion and husband, Russell, of Cleburne; grandson, Mitchell Parker and wife, Kenda, of White Settlement; granddaughter, Desiree Parker of Fort Worth; grandsons, John Cashion of Grand Prairie and Phillip Marc Cashion of Cleburne; granddaughter, Macie Cashion; and a host of loving family and friends.
