Ruthie Frances Wright

d. November 21, 2007

Ruthie Frances "Gee Gee" Tyson Wright, of Weatherford, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. She passed away in her sleep at a local care facility. Gee Gee was born October 5, 1924 in Addison, Texas, daughter of the late William Lee and Alice Tyson. She moved to Weatherford when she was fourteen and it was here that Gee Gee met the love of her life, Mr. A.B. Wright. They married on March 14, 1942 at the parsonage of North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. They were married until his passing December 20, 2005. Together they traveled the United States, venturing to almost every state. Gee Gee loved to collect rocks, shells and "Teddy" bears from her travels. In 1967, PaPa and Gee Gee moved to Everman, spending most of their married life there and rearing their three daughters. Gee Gee was very active in Southway Side Baptist Church in Everman and the Everman Senior Center participating in crafts and numerous activities. She loved visiting with family, shopping at Wal-Mart, eating at buffets, especially Buffet City, and people watching. No one could make a buttermilk pie like Gee Gee. Gee Gee's first love has always been with children. She did not care who they belonged to, from babysitting in her younger years to spoiling her great-grandchildren in her most recent days. Nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren have babies. The brightest light in her last year of life were her three new great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the care facility for their love, care, and support during the last days of Gee Gee's life. Gee Gee is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Brewer of Fort Worth, Shirley Wright McCrory and husband, Charles of Lipan, Beverly Bench and husband, Max of Weatherford; grandchildren, Cheryl Forman of Fort Worth, Michelle Seifert and husband, Matt of Des Moines, Iowa, William Brewer and wife, Sandy of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jennifer Francis and husband, Sean of Brock, Kathy Wright of Mesquite, Misty Carruth and husband Brian of Weatherford, Daniel Bench and wife, Michelle of Layton, Utah, and Christopher McCrory of Keller; great-grandchildren, Amy Nelson and husband, Ryan of Memphis, Tenn., Meghan Seifert of Des Moines, Iowa, Tyler, Dalton, and Summer Hafley of Seagoville, Gustava Bench of Layton, Utah, Brooklynn Carruth of Weatherford, Shelby Francis of Brock, and Austen Carruth of Weatherford; sisters, Nannie Mae Ariola of Springtown and Nettie Jane Nickless of Little Elm; sister-in-law, Helen Tyson, of Jacksonville, Fla.
