Mattie Lee Phillips

Mattie Lee Phillips, 95, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 at a local care facility.Born Mattie Lee Owens on September 2, 1912 in the Crafton community of Wise County, to the late Harry H. and Milisa Allen Owens. Mattie was a member of Oxford Water Baptist Church and eighteen year employee of Willhite Seed Company.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Phillips; three brothers, Robert Owens Sr., Jerrel Owens, and Wilson Owens.Mattie is survived by her nephews, Robert Owens and wife, Billie of Aledo and Buddie Phillips and wife, Larane of Poolville; and many extended and loving family and friends.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Oxford-Water Cemetery. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
