Helen Jewell Starr

Helen Starr, 92, of Azle, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 at a Fort Worth hospital.Helen Jewell Jefferies Starr was born November 20, 1915 in Dallas, Texas. She retired from Stripling Appliance. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and especially quilting. Helen was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Clingman "J.C." Thompson.Survivors include son, Raleigh Thompson of Weatherford; daughter, Anita Batey of Azle; grandchildren, Doug Batey, Daren Thompson, Branden Thompson and Regina Batey. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Christie Batey, Kimberly Batey, and Ashley Batey; and one great-great granddaughter, Shelby Leanne Jewell Davis.Funeral services are scheduled 12 noon, Thursday, December 6, 2007 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
