Loran T Montgomery

Loran T. Montgomery, 97, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at a local nursing home.Loran Thompson Montgomery was born in Millsap, Texas on July 3, 1910. LT. and twin brother, Oran Montgomery, were the second and third of eleven children born to the late J.A. and Emma Lack Montgomery. L.T. moved to California as a young man, owning and operating many service stations there. He married Dorothy Montgomery in Weatherford, Texas on October 25, 1939. L.T. returned to Weatherford in 1970 and started the Country View Mobile Home Park on Bethel Road in the 1980s. L.T.'s passion was for horses and calves. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents; and eight brothers.L.T. is survived by his son, Royce Montgomery of Weatherford; brother, Trosper Montgomery of Artesia, NM; sister, Clovella Parker of Santa Barbara, CA; dear friend, Betty Dale of Weatherford; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park. The family will receive guests 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
