Perry Reneau, 82, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in a Fort Worth hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park in Weatherford. Perry Reneau was born August 1, 1925 in Van Alstyne, Texas. Mr. Reneau retired following twenty years service in the United States Army, during which time he served in the Korean War. He had been a resident of Parker County since 1968 and was president and founder of the Parker County American Pit Bull Club. He was inducted in the American Dog Breeders Association Hall of Fame and received numerous lifetime achievement awards. Mr. Reneau was known locally for his parade involvement with his miniature horses and carriage. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Greene of Belleville, IL in July 2006. Mr. Reneau is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Akiko Reneau of Weatherford; son, Bob Reneau and wife, Linda of Belleville, IL; daughter, Debbie Reneau of Weatherford; granddaughters, Michelle Reneau of Belleville, IL, Danielle Reneau of Irvine, CA, Jade Reneau of Weatherford; nephew, Shin Miura and wife, Tiffany of Fort Worth; and a host of loving family and friends.
