Paula Taylor, 85, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, surrounded by her family at a local hospital.Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Reeves Cemetery, Young County. Visitation: 10 to 12 p.m. Saturday at White's Mineral Wells Funeral Home.Paula Ozella Reeves Taylor was born April 21, 1922, in Young County, a daughter of the late Ed and Effie Mae Fitzgerald Reeves. She loved watching baseball, particularly the Texas Rangers and could tell you about anything you might want to know about them. Paula was a nature lover and was quite the talented artist, which she continued until she suffered a stroke about 12 years ago. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and an inactive member of Eastern Star for many years. Paula was a graduate of Newcastle High School.Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Taylor in 1975; parents; a brother, Sam Ed Reeves; and a sister, Edna Maye Davenport.Survivors: Sons, Rodney Tate and wife, Patricia, of Early, Eddy Tate and wife, Gayle, of Burleson, and Gregory Tate and wife, Charlene, of Red Oak; grandsons, Troy Snow and wife, Angela, of Mansfield and Colby Tate and wife, Sara, of Cibolo; granddaughters, Kellye Tippett and husband, Chris, of North Richland Hills, Jolie Ratliff and husband, Mike, of Austin, Angela Tate-Coker and husband, Matt, of Waxahachie, and Tiffany Tate of Fort Worth; five great-grandchildren; brother, Clinton Reeves and wife, Juanita, of Newcastle; sister, Vera McPherson of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
