Agnes Elizabeth Humphrey was born on July 25, 1913 in New York City and died on February 6, 2008 in Weatherford, Texas.She was the daughter of Frank and Anna Aiguier who preceded her in death and she was married to George B. Humphrey Jr., also deceased. Her brother, Frank Aiguier Jr., and two sisters, Rosella Gokey and Catherine Aiguier also preceded her in death.Agnes worked for Nestle Company in White Plains, New York and Geigy Chemical Company in Ardsley, New York where she was an office manager. Agnes and her husband, George, retired to Port Clyde, Maine where they resided for fifteen years. She was a world traveler, an avid reader, gourmet cook and a dedicated walker. As such she participated in the Cowtown Marathon and 10K numerous times, each year receiving a trophy for excellence in her class.Agnes was a faithful volunteer for many years, first at the Penobscot Bay Hospital in Maine and later at the Weatherford Regional Medical Center in Texas. She was also an enthusiastic volunteer at the Weatherford Library. In 2005, Agnes was selected to receive the NTRLS Library Volunteer Award. She was also an active and dedicated member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Weatherford for more than twenty years. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Rudolph Rogers and husband, Charles W.; three grandchildren, Linda G. Rudolph, Harry G. Rudolph III and wife, Linda, and Richard J. Rudolph and wife, Kim. Also surviving seven great-grandchildren, Ann, Beth and Lisa Shelton, Harry George Rudolph IV, Ricky, Julieann and Alex Rudolph; sisters, Marian McInnerney and Evelyn Sayers; and numerous nieces and nephews.Her life will be celebrated at a mass of remembrance, 2 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford. Interment will take place at a later date in Tenants Harbor, Maine.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Stephen Catholic Church or the Weatherford Library.
