Bob E. Wilson -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PARKER COUNTY -- Bob E. Wilson, 75 years of age, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, after a long illness. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Park with Edward M. Stauffer, retired chaplain for the Fort Worth Fire Department, officiating. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bob's name to the charity of your choice. Bob was born in Dallas County, Sept. 26, 1932. He was a graduate of Paschal High School and later attended TCU. Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and in 1957 became a fireman for the city of Fort Worth, retiring in 1991. For a period of time, he worked for the U.S. marshal's office and the Fort Worth Stock Show. Bob was a very generous, caring and loving man. He loved people and was a very avid sports fan. As the late Federal Judge Alex McGlinchey once said, "Bob was a person worthy to run the river with!" He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Survivors: Wife, Leda; and brother, Billy.
