Geraldine "Jerry" Fraser, 77, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. Services: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial to follow in Community Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Education Dept., 1720 Gendy St., Ft. Worth, TX 76107 or Rodeo Historical Society National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, 1700 N.E. 63rd St., Okla. City, OK 73116. Jerry was born September 8, 1930 in Big Spring the daughter of the late Eugene and Blanche Finch. She was married to Herman Houston "Doc" Fraser Jr. for 57 years. Jerry was a lifelong cowgirl and was recognized for her 56 years of leather carving. She received the "Tad Lucas Memorial Award" from the Rodeo Historical Society and her name plaque is housed in the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Jerry was a volunteer for the Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, teaching her leather carving craft for the Cowgirl University. She worked for M.L. Leddy's Saddle Shop since 1990 and practiced her profession until her death. Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Doc Fraser; and sister, Bettie Finch. Survivors include, daughters, June King and husband, John of Wheatland, Bettie Sue Cook and husband, John of Millsap; son, Martin Fraser and wife, Margaret of Weatherford; grandchildren, Johnny U. King IV, Kristen King Vidal, Jeff King, Angelique Ratliff, Elizabeth Fraser, and Duncan Fraser; four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Fraser and wife, Robbie of Dundee; sister-in-law, Sue Ellen Fraser Dinges and husband, Jack of Tallahassee, Fl.
