Jean South

Jean South, 74, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at her home in Azle.Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Saturday in Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 P.M. Friday at White's Azle Funeral Home.Jean was born Oct. 1, 1933 in Vernon, a daughter of the late Neal and Crystal Hamilton, and attended Northside High School there. Jean was a resident of Azle most of her life where she was a member of First United Methodist Church. Jean retired from Lockheed Martin after 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Martha South in 1988 and granddaughter, Toni Goins in 1975.Survivors: husband of 31 years, Roy South of Azle; her children, Randy Goins and wife, Susie of Springtown, Vickie Woody of Azle, Kimberly Malone and husband, Troy of Paradise, Joe South and wife, Charlotte, James South and wife, Rita, Elizabeth Brice and husband, Ray, Lynn South and wife, Brenda all of Azle; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernadene Williamson and twin sister, Joan Haney and husband Jim Bob both of Azle; one niece and four nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
