Lorene Carter, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Fort Worth. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday in Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 1200 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, TX. 76102.Lorene was born Oct. 17, 1921 in Gray, Okla. to the late Merrill and Lucille McLain. She and husband, LeRoy were married in Beaver, Okla. September 6, 1937. She lived in Perryton until 1976 and has resided in Springtown since. Lorene's hobbies were painting and working with ceramics. She was very family oriented, and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lorene was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, LeRoy, her parents, brother, Junior and sister, Betty.Survivors: sons, Sam Carter and wife, Glenda of Arlington, Tom Carter and wife, Mary of Springtown; daughters, Janice Rogers and husband, Andy of Antlers, Okla., Chyrle Murry and husband, Don of Springtown; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry, Bob and Gail; sisters, Bennie and Patsy and a host of loving family and friends.
