SPRINGTOWN -- Addie Bryan, 97, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at a Weatherford care center. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at White's Springtown Funeral Chapel, 401 North Main Street, Springtown. Burial: 2 p.m. Saturday in City of Lubbock Cemetery, 2011 East 31st Street, Lubbock. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Addie Lavern Weaver was born August 14, 1910, in Arkansas, the daughter of the late James and Ellen Crawford Weaver. In 1925, she met and married the late Paul Bryan in Booneville, Ark., and they soon started their family. She moved to Springtown in 1998 from Lubbock, where she had lived since the early 1950s. Her hobbies included gardening and reading, which was her favorite. Addie was a member of both First Baptist Church of Lubbock and First Baptist Church of Springtown. Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bryan in 1975; sons, Donald W., James C., and Bobby H. Bryan; and daughter, Ruth Ellen Stiles. Survivors: Son, Billy Joe Bryan and wife, Donna, of Grand Prairie; daughter, Betty Lamantia and husband, Larry, of Springtown; and son, Paul W. Bryan and wife, Virginia, of St. Marys, Kan.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
