Billy Stockstill, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at White's Funeral Chapel, 401 North Main Street, Springtown. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Billy Stockstill was born Jan. 14, 1928, in Texola, son of the late George and Minney Stockstill. Billy retired from General Dynamics after many dedicated years of work on the F-16 program. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served on Iwo Jima. The co-owner and operator of S & W Quarter Horse Farm, Billy's passion was raising, breeding and showing quarter horses in the local area. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors: Sisters, Ruby Lemley of New Mexico and Ruth Paul of Mansfield; special friends, Bobby Joe Wiersig, Terry Gowers and wife, Andi, and their children, Tay, Kendal, and Cirena all of Springtown.
