Ferrell W. Ridley, 68, passed away in his sleep April 26, 2008 in Weatherford after living with diabetes and heart disease for many years. Ferrell was born August 20, 1939 in Carter, Okla. to George and Dorothy Ridley. He later moved to Stockbridge, GA where he owned and operated a gas station and wrecker service. In August 1999, he and his wife, Angie, built and moved into their new home in Azle. Ferrell worked as a licensed auto inspector for Quality Automotive until he became ill with Lewy Body Dementia. Ferrell enjoyed being a member of the North Texas T-Bucket Club. He also loved reading, watching old western movies, and visiting his next door neighbors, Chuck and Dot Davis. He played a large part in the life of his granddaughter, Misty. Whatever she had going on, he was there to support her. His big yellow cat, Thomas, was a great source of joy to him as well. He also treasured each and every friend.Ferrell was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sons.He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Angie Ridley of Azle; daughter, Janie Self and husband, Jim and their children, Justin and Misty of Azle; daughter, Connie Hardy and husband, Dave and their children, Krystal and Josh of Stockbridge, GA; daughter, Dorothey Pinney and her children, Jackson and Chuck of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Jess Ridley and wife, Sarah and their children, Monica, Cassie and A.J. of Palmer Lake, Colo.; son, Eddie Skelton and wife, Sandra and their children, Eli and Mica of Rex, GA; great-grandchildren, Zayvian, Avie, Layla, and Madison; several nieces and nephews; special adopted family, Drew, Dianne, Dakota and Brady Brooks of Azle; and his beloved cat, Thomas.
