Cody Durant, 75, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Weatherford. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday in White's Chapel of Memories. Interment following the service at Tin Top Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford. Cody was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Granbury to the late Reece and Pauline Durant. He attended high school in Granbury, where he met his wife, Jennie, and they married in 1956. He retired from Jerry's Cheverolet after 29 years of service. Cody owned Cody's Country Market and 2 Way Auto Sales and was an avid rancher and fisherman. He was a member of New Faith Baptist Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jennie, in 2005; and brother, Chuck Durant. Survivors: Sons, Lee Durant and wife, Lisa, Cody Durant Jr. and wife, Tanya, and John Durant and wife, Jennifer, all of Weatherford; grandchildren, John T. Durant, William Durant, Rylee Durant, Byrce Durant, Robert Justin Durant, Jeff, Stephany Durant, and Elizabeth Durant; great-grandchildren, Hunter Durant and Matthew Durant; brothers, Curtis Durant, Chubby Durant and Dale Durant; sister, Rita Durant; and many personal and business friends.
