Douglas "Doug" Barringer, 76, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008 in Azle. Graveside Service 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Springtown Cemetery, Springtown. Doug was born August 27, 1931 in High Point, NC. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. Doug was also retired from UPS after 20 years of service. He married his wife, Bernice in November of 1975 in Oklahoma. Doug loved to play golf, in 1982 and 1996 he made holes-in-one. He was the most wonderful, awesome and caring man ever and believed in a honest days work. Doug dearly loved his children and grandchildren. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bernice in 2006, grandson, Jerry Beason II in 2000 and brother Mahlon Barringer. Survivors: daughters, Brenda Beason and husband, Jerry of Stephenville, Lenda Morrison-Sugg and husband, Ernie of Grand Prairie, Dottie Simmons and husband, Jerry of Springtown; Doug and Vickie Barringer; grandsons, Jeremy Simmons of Springtown and Chris Beason and wife, Corlie of Gordon; granddaughters, Kelli Simmons and husband, Dwayne of Saginaw, Donna Groshup and husband, Glen of Azle; 7 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Dolores Logan of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
