David Kent Jones

David K. Jones, 68, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10:00 a.m., Friday at Jones Cemetery in Brock. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at White's Weatherford Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to the Jones Cemetery Association. David Jones was born July 15, 1939 son of the late Martin and Vivian Jones. He was a descendant of a Parker County pioneer family. David was a lifetime resident of Brock. He graduated from Brock High School and attended Weatherford College. He was a long-time peanut farmer and cattle raiser. David was very active in the community, serving on the board of Brock ISD and was a long-time director of the Millsap Farmers Coop. He was also a member of Brock Baptist Church. David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kae Tidwell Jones. Survivors include, son, Scott Jones of Ft. Worth; daughter, Becky Latham and husband, Dale of Brock; brother Larry Jones; and two grandchildren, Tyler Reid and Kaeti Cheyenne of Brock.
