Ronald William Long

Ron Long , 66, a wonderful loving husband and father, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Services: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Azle Church of Christ. Interment will follow the service at Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home.Ron was born June 28, 1941 in Glendale, Calif. to Carl and Bonnie Long. He was a faithful member of the Azle Church of Christ. Ron loved to play the ukulele, sail, be outdoors,and tinker with things. He and wife, Gayle, also enjoyed taking cruises. Ron was preceded by his father.Survivors: loving wife of 42 years, Gayle Long of Azle; sons, Greg Long of Watauga and Mark Long and wife, Kate of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Amy Giersch and husband, Ken of Euless; brother, Carl Long, Jr and wife, Anita of Arlington; and mother, Bonnie Long of Arlington and a host of loving friends.
