WEATHERFORD -- Nan Jane Hammett, 70, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2008. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at North Main Church of God. Interment: will follow. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Weatherford Funeral Home. Nan was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Rochester to the Rev. W.E. and Minnie Mae Mitchell. She had been a resident of Weatherford for 41 years. Nan lived on the footsteps of God's Word. She was a faithful follower of God and member of North Main Church of God. Nan's hands never ceased from providing hope and comfort, not only to her patients, but also to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorene Rinehart and Ludene Ivy; and brother, Virgil Mitchell. Survivors: Sons, Rick Hammett and wife, Billie Jo, and Chris Hammett, all of Weatherford; daughters, Sherry Hammett of Weatherford, Melanie Scott and husband, Jason, of Weatherford and Amy Jones and husband, Chris of Van Alstyne; grandchildren, Tammie Humphreys, Tiffanie Hammett, Brandon Hammett, Cassie Hammett, Tara Mallory, Maegan Mallory, Katelyn Mallory, Tyler Jones, Aaron Jones, Victoria Hammett, Logan Hammett and Alexander Hammett; great-grandchildren, Keelyn Humphreys, Madison Foshee, Nicholas Hammett and Emma Hammett; brothers, J.O.
