AZLE -- Lois Virginia Sisk, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at a care facility in Wichita Falls. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Jaybird Cemetery, Jaybird Lane and Union Street, Parker County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 401 North Main Street, Springtown. Lois Virginia Armstrong Sisk, the second of six children, was born June 9, 1919, in Cushing, daughter of the late Jesse Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Townley Armstrong. A loving and caring person, Lois took care of people her entire life and loved to cook for everybody. When you entered her house, you were promptly greeted with, "Are you hungry?". She married Jeff Leo Sisk, who preceded her in death, in Hugo, Okla. on Aug. 9, 1976, and retired after 30 years of service to the clothing manufacturing industry. Lois was preceded in death by husbands, Jeff Sisk and Alvis Ellis; an infant daughter; four brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Son, J W Hill of Wichita Falls; daughters, Virginia Fuhrman and husband, James, of Wichita Falls and Maureen Reagan and husband, Johnny, of Jacksonville; sons, Danny Sisk and wife, Judy, of Temple and Skeeter Anderson and wife, Marcie, of Gilmer; grandsons, Vance Sisk and wife, Doris, of Wichita Falls, Scott Gardner of Houston, Todd Gardner and wife, Julie, of Midland, and Jonathon Hill of Wichita Falls; granddaughters, La Nita Gardner and husband, Darren, of Carrollton, and Arden Thomas and husband, Brian, of Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
