Theron Wayne Wadsworth

Theron Wayne Wadsworth, 83, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 9:55 p.m. in Weatherford, Texas.Theron Wayne Wadsworth was born December 6, 1924 in the Harmony Community of Parker County, the son of the late Mrs. Bessie Lee Briscoe Wadsworth. Theron, also known as Jack, graduated from Texas A & M University, January 1948, with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education. Mr. Wadsworth served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945 training to become a pilot. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford and enjoyed horticulture with an emphasis on vegetable gardening. Mr. Wadsworth was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Pyland Wadsworth, January 25, 2005; and daughter, Virginia (Ginger) Hood in March of this year.Survivors include son, Tommy Jack Wadsworth, his wife Leslie of Edmonds, Washington; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2008 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford with the Reverend Bob Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park. The family will also receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
