Troy Wayne Gilbert, 54, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Weatherford.Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Weatherford.In lieu of flowers family ask donations be made in Troy's name to:Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Weatherford306 Palo Pinto St.Weatherford, TX 76086Troy was born August 21, 1953 in Ft. Worth the son of J.A. and Billie Davis Gilbert. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he especially enjoyed his Sunday School Ministry with the children. Troy also enjoyed his job as a truck driving instructor, where he was able to help and serve others. He was preceded in death by his father. As a very loving and giving person, Troy will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends and relatives he left behind.Troy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathy Gilbert; children, Amanda Hazard and husband, Chris, Laura Sullivan and husband, Randy, Jimmy Morland, Kristi Morland, Matthew Morland; grandchildren, Landen, Madison, Lauren, Bethanie, Delaney, Elliott, and Bailey; mother, Billie Gilbert; brothers, Roy Gilbert and wife, Teresa, Odell Gilbert and wife, Cammie; sister, Helen Akin and husband, Charles.
