Ruthie Faye Gordon

Ruthie Faye Gordon passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Interment: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born holding hands with her twin sister Ruby Mae on June 9, 1929 in Blum. Ruthie married James Olin Gordon March 3, 1944. He proceeded her in death on July 11, 1997. She was a retired hairdresser. Ruthie was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church. She also belonged to Eastern Star.Ruthie is survived by: her children, Sam and Martha Gordon of Hillsboro; James D. Gordon of Azle; Mary and Jim Laird of Azle and Brenda and Melvin Barton of Springtown; her grandchildren, Angela and Troy Snow of Mansfield, Cari and Geoff Wood of Azle, Jayme Laird and fiance, Brian Miller of Azle, Anson and Shelby Gordon of Mansfield, Alan and Ashley Gordon of Mansfield and Lee Barton of Springtown; her great-grandchildren, MaKenzie, Tanner and Tyler Snow, Ethan, Dylan, River, Cade and Jhett Gordon; her sisters, Ruby Steel, Etta Monk, Delores Burch; her brothers, Jackie Burch and Michael Burch; many nieces, nephews and friends.
