G. L. Lowe, 81, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at home in Aledo.Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday at Aledo Church of Christ. Interment: Aledo-Brown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Funeral Home.G.L. was born January 5, 1927 in Decatur to Minnie and Joe Lowe. He was a longtime resident of Aledo where he was a barber, real estate broker and avid supporter of the community and kids sports. He coached baseball from 1963 to 2000 in Aledo Little League. G.L. and wife, Faye celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary, August 19, 2008. He was a member of the Aledo church of Christ.Survivors: wife of 63 years, Faye Lowe; daughters, LaRene Walters and husband, Rex of Aledo and Sandra Knight of Aledo; son Darryl Lowe and wife, Althea of Godley; grandchildren, Jarod Knight and wife Robyn of Cornith, Ty Lowe of Benbrook, Kayla Fowler and husband, Bryan of Justin, Cody Lowe and wife, Tiffany of Benbrook, Kyle Lowe of Benbrook, Shea Knight of Arlington, Wash., Clayton Lowe of Godley, and Brandi Ayala and husband, Alex of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Erica, Jack, Jaryn, Zack, Bayli, Savannah and Ruben; also survived by many long time friends.
