Weldon Richard Horton

Weldon (Ricky) Horton, 61, of Mineral Wells, died on August 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born on November 20, 1946 in Penwell, TX to Jack and Mary Jo Terrell Horton. He was a rough neck in the oil field and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son: Cody Glen Owens; brothers: Floyd Anderson, Claude Anderson, Scooter Anderson; aunts: Glaydas Terrell, Fontane Barns; 2 uncles: Danny Terrell, Richard Terrell; grandparents: Lewis and Mary Bell Terrell. Survivors include his wife of 31 years: Connie C. Horton of Mineral Wells; children: Christy Owens and fiance Amos Roger, Melinda Horton and life partner Terry Moreno, and Rikkie Jo and John Mark Harrison, all of Mineral Wells; grandchildren: Thomas Harrison, Garion Marino, Nickolas Horton, Mikeulyn Breanna Ruggles, Heaven Rogers, Gaberial Horton, Raylee Dawn Cate; sisters: Rita Dobbs and Wes, Susan Dobbs and Jerry, Kelly Anderson; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Clyde and Cheryl Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gayle and Ray Joslin, Buddy and Carolyn Smith, Karen and Johnny Brown, Lola and Steve Gray, Sheila and Ronnie , Marion and Randy; one very special nephew: Ronnie James Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
