SPRINGTOWN -- Jackie Dwayne Reese, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 in Springtown. Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Springtown Church of Christ. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Jack was born January 26, 1935 in Ackerly to Jack Edwin and Ossie Reese. He attended school in Carlsbad, New Mexico and honorably served his country in the United States Navy and the National Guard. Jack was a faithful member of Springtown Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Etta Evelyn Reese, brother, Carrell Reese, sister, Delores Ann. Survivors: wife, of 52 years, Catherine Reese of Springtown; son, David Reese and wife, Stephanie of Carlsbad, N.M.; daughter, Terry Post and husband, Clayton of Springtown, Bonnie Tompson of Fredericksburg, VA. Janine Courtney and husband, Roy of Richland Hills and Kimberly Paulos of Azle; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Wilferth, Wanda Lynn Johnson and Evelyn Gold.
