FLOWER MOUND -- Emil Doreck, 81, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at aDenton hospital. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in East Greenwood Cemetery,Front Street and Mill Street, Weatherford. Emil Herbert Doreck was born June 9, 1927, in Galveston, the eldestof four children born to the late Emil Rupert and Emma NeimeyerDoreck. Emil honorably served his country as a T3 in the UnitedStates Army during World War II in the Philippines. He worked hardhis entire life and could diagnose car problems just by looking atthe car. His hobby was tinkering with just about anything. Emilloved to barbecue and was, in fact, quite good at it. He was afaithful member of First Lutheran Church in Galveston. His heartwas as good as gold. Emil was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Norman andHerbie Doreck. Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Jessie Doreck of Flower Mound;daughters, Debra Ann Mayo and Jayne Fuller, both of Houston, PaulaHenderson and husband, Mike, of Alvin, and Deborah Lee Vollert andhusband, Matthew, of Flower Mound; son, Marvin Rutledge and wife,Barbara, of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; threegreat-grandchildren; sister, Rosalind Lemire of Houston; numerousnieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
