Thomas Wayne Welch, 79, a lifetime resident of Parker County, went to sleep and passed into God's arms on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday in White's Azle Chapel. Interment: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Thomas Wayne was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Springtown to Joe and Millie Welch. He was employed by Bell Helicopter for 37 years. After retirement he enjoyed building and keeping his yard. Thomas always had company with his yard work, his faithful companion, his dog, Burnie. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vernon; and infant son, Stacey. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Marie Welch; son, DeLynn Welch and wife, Suzanne; daughter, Sherrell Hartwig and husband, Jim; grandsons, Wes and wife, Cresia, Wyn, and Jason; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Couper, Zachary and Allison; sisters, Madeline Springfield and husband, Helon, Mary Rosemond and Bonnie Hollyfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
