Miriam Louise Eakin Miller, 84, loving mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Azle. Services: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in White's Azle Chapel. Interment: 2:30 P.M. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Azle Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Miriam's name to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.Miriam was born May 6, 1924 in Johnson County to G. and Belle Eakin. She was a resident of Azle for 40 years. Miriam was a graduate of Cozart Nursing School. She was a very compassionate, caring person with a gentle spirit. Miriam loved to garden and cook for her family. She was a wife of 62 years and a military spouse. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold A. Miller; son, Michael Miller; son-in-law, Allen Bowman; grandson, Taylor Miller; granddaughter, Katie Miller.Survivors: daughters, Marilyn Bowman of Okla., Tamara Slate and husband, Bobby of Azle; sons, Dana Miller and wife, Stacey of Azle, Timothy Miller and wife, Pamela of Ga., Greg Miller and wife, Sandy of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
