SPRINGTOWN -- Mamie Taylor, 91, a loving mother, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at her residence in Springtown. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 500 N. Main St., Springtown. Interment: Jackson Cemetery, Krum. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Mamie Dell Edwards Taylor was born March 5, 1917, in Palo Pinto County. Mamie loved God and had been an active member of First Baptist Church of Springtown since 1979. She enjoyed spending time with her family, needlework, reading and playing 42. Mamie was known for her Christmas candy. Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin W. Taylor, and her son, Rick Taylor. Survivors: Sons, Doug Taylor and wife, Thresia, of Willow Park, Jim Taylor and companion, Kay, of Weatherford; daughter, Delretha Randel of Burleson; Rick's companion, Imogene; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Dorothy Stough of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
