Joan Cooper Garner

Joan Garner, 81, passed away Monday, Oct, 27, 2008. Funeral: 10 am Friday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Dilbeck Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Joan Garner was born September 4, 1927 in New Bedford, MA the daughter of Everett and Kathleen King Cooper. She moved to Texas in 1960. In 1968, Joan married David in White Settlement and they moved to Peaster in 1974. She especially enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting. Mrs. Garner was fun loving and loved to joke and cut-up. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Ann Shipman; her parents; and brothers, Albert, Bill and Richard. Suvivors: husband, David "Red" Garner; sons, Kenneth Arsenault and wife, Karen of Michigan, Daniel Arsenaut of Weatherford, Steve Arsenault and wife, Nita of Cleburne, David Garner, Jr. of Peaster, Doug Garner and wife, April of Weatherford; daughters, Kathy Farmer and husband, Kirk of Garland; Tamara Berthume and husband Gary of Michigan; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
