Nancy Halbrook, 66, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Nancy was born May 11, 1942, in Olney, daughter of the late A.C. and Esther Clay King. She was a very sweet person to all that knew her. During her tenure at Weatherford College, Nancy touched many people as she played a big part in the student's lives. Nancy enjoyed traveling, especially with her sister to Shreveport. She had many hobbies including, playing hand-held games, very devoted to "General Hospital", Dallas Cowboy Football, collecting angels, and music. Nancy was a huge Elvis Presley fan and particularly enjoyed Christy Lane and Vince Gill. Nancy also enjoyed dining frequently at Pulidos. Nancy was a member of La Junta Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Halbrook in January, 2003; her parents; and a sister, Marie Holcomb. Survivors include, daughters, Loretta Huddleston and husband, Gary, Donna Towles and husband, Gerald, Linda Cook and Rick Thiel, all of Weatherford; grandchildren, Holly Gray and husband, Eric of Arlington, Heath Huddleston of Haltom City, Josh Towles of Haltom City, Dawn Goodwin and husband, Chad of Whitt, Brant Cook of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Caleigh Amelia Gray and Brody Michael Goodwin; sisters, Neoma Kirk of Springtown and Jeanette Troutman Bacon of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
