Rev. A.J. Fox Jr., 85, a retired Church of God minister, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008. Funeral services: 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Lakeside Church of God, 9396 F.M. 1886 in Lakeside. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. A.J. Fox, Jr., was born November 16, 1923 in Whitesboro the son of the late, Adolph J. and Malvina Fox. Rev. Fox pastored various Churches and served on Church Committees throughout Texas. He was a member of Civilian Conservation Corps. Rev. Fox was former Chief of Adell-Whitt Volunteer Fire Dept, a rancher, and a real "Mr. Fix-it" and automotive mechanic. He was a Special Deputy of the Parker County Sheriff's Department for many years and also served on the board of Parker County Committee on Aging. Rev. Fox was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Minnie Fox in 2007; son, Jimmy Don Fox; his parents; two brothers; one sister; and a precious granddaughter, Mandy Hill. Survivors: children and their spouses, Glenn and Florence Fox of Weatherford, Brenda and Bill Bertocchini of Midlothian, Carolyn and Johnny Hill of Midlothian; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Faye Grigg, Lola Armstrong, and Mary Griffith.
