Sue Petty Glatz

Sue Petty Glatz, 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died, Thursday, December 4, 2008. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 8 in White's Mineral Wells Chapel. Interment will be in Dobbs Valley Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, Dec. 7 at White's Mineral Wells Funeral Home.Sue was born July 14, 1928 to the late Dennis and Bettie Chesnut Petty in Mineral Wells. She was a secretary most of her career as well as a wonderful mother to her 3 children. Sue was a wife to her husband, Donald Glatz for 38 years. She was a very spiritual woman and was dedicated to her faith. Sue came from a very large family being one of 13 children. She was very close to all of her family. Her family is what brought her all the joy and love in her life. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Bettie Petty of Santo, and one brother, Bill Petty of Fort Worth.Survivors: son, Michael Glatz and daughter-in-law, Tammy of Fort Smith, AR, daughters, Kelly Spicer and son-in-law, Rick of Tustin, Calif.,and Susan Glatz of Fort Worth; brothers, Jim Petty of Mineral Wells, Horace Petty of Hurst, Durwood Petty of Burleson, Olen Petty of Azle, Denzel Petty of Benbrook, Kenneth Petty of Bryan and Gerald Petty of Mineral Wells; sisters, Imogene Pierson of Vici, Okla., Nina Vander Weide of Georgetown and Janice Harrington of Weatherford.
