Theo Tasker, 83, a loving husband, father, grandfather andgreat-grandfather, peacefully passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at anursing home in Justin. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Monday at Bethel United MethodistChurch, 3196 Bethel Road, Weatherford. The Rev. Katie Meek willofficiate. Interment: Tin Top Cemetery. Family visitation: 6 to 8p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AmericanHospice, 300 N. Elm St., Suite 203, Denton, Texas 76201. Theo "TC" Claud Tasker was born Nov. 19, 1925, in View, son of thelate George and Effie Tasker. He was a 25-year resident of TinTop/Parker County and was a member of Thorp Spring Baptist Church.Theo had a 30-plus-year career with Texas Utilities, retiring in1981. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. Theo'shobbies included woodworking, especially making beautiful pens andpencils for his friends and family. He loved to "shoot the bull"with friends at Mary's Cafe in Tin Top, faithfully having hiscoffee every morning with the "guys." Theo was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Ruth Geraldine;a son, Melvin Miner; parents; and a brother, Kenneth. Survivors: Brothers, Harold "Buster" and Royce; sons, John Minerand wife, Janice, and Fred Tasker and wife, Debra; daughters,Vickie Capers, Connie Johnson and husband, Don, and Linda Schieferand husband, David; grandsons, Corey Miner, Todd Miner, JasonTasker and Zachary Capers; granddaughters, Melanie Emmel, LoriBoyd, Neysa Johnson, Stephanie Reiter and Robbin Capers;great-grandchildren, Mason Emmel, Reese Emmel, Claire Miner, LukeEmmel and Emory Tryon; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host ofloving friends.
