William "Bill" McDavid, 69, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009.Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Weatherford. Interment: Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave, Weatherford, Texas.Bill McDavid was born July 26, 1939, one of five children to Bill and Dawn McDavid in Weatherford. In 1957 he entered the automobile business and became the youngest dealer ever appointed by General Motors Pontiac Division in Fort Worth. Bill earned many industry awards through out his successful career, including Quailty Dealer of the year award. He was a cutting horse champion and had a great passion for horses. After his retirement, Bill enjoyed success in the music business as a songwriter and was also a local land developer. He was known by many and loved by all. Bill was preceded in death by his father.Survivors: wife, Sherry McDavid of Aledo; sons, Brad McDavid and wife, Liza, of Aledo, Bill McDavid III and wife, Mikeleen of Ft. Worth; daughter, Michele Napier and husband, Jeff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-son, Ian Stewart and wife, Erin of Georgetown; eleven grandchildren; mother, Dawn Queen McDavid; brother, David McDavid; sisters, Deddy Dawn Srimavin, Kandy Lamb, and Toni Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
