Betty Jo Thresher

PARADISE -- Betty Thresher, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at a local hospital. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Cottondale. Interment: Restland Cemetery, Olney. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home. Betty Jo Fulbright Thresher, the second of three children, was born April 17, 1930, the only daughter of Lawrence and Lottie Griffith Fulbright. She was a resident of Paradise for 36 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cottondale. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers. Survivors: Husband, James Thresher of Paradise; children, Bill Thresher and wife, Blasita, of Cleburne, Harvey Thresher of Navasota, and Lottie Thresher Harris and husband, Larry, of Springtown; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
