SPRINGTOWN -- Bobby Dean Cremeen, 76, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, in Weatherford. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in White's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Bobby was born Nov. 29, 1932, to J.D. and Mattie Cremeen in Manchester, Red River County. On Feb. 14, 1958, he married Helen Roberts, who has been his faithful and loving companion for 51 years. He worked in the air-conditioning industry for 20 years, and later retired from TXU after 23 years of service. In 1989 he and Helen moved to Springtown, and in 1990 he began to enjoy life as a retiree. He loved gardening, ham radio, fishing, hunting and camping in Colorado. Bob was baptized at the age of 13 and has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ. When he was unable to attend church, he would always ask, "Is today Sunday?" because he loved to attend the worship hour. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters. Survivors: Wife, Helen Cremeen of Springtown; daughter, Carla Cassanova of Fort Worth; sons, Russell Cremeen of Azle and Gaylon and his wife, Kim Cremeen, of Springtown; grandsons, John and Richard Cassanova; granddaughters, Kayla and Kaylon Cremeen; brother, Billy Cremeen of Hitchcock; sister, Dorothy Townes of Clarksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
