Derrell D. Young

Derrell D. Young, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009.Funeral: 1:30 p.m., Saturday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Darrell Young was born December 11, 1928 the son of Othol and Clara Young in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a long time resident of Parker County. Mr. Young was an avid horseman and a life time member of the Parker County Sheriff's Posse. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Twila Young; and brothers, Bobby and Duane Young.Survivors include children, Talonda Finch and husband, Ronnie, Shawn Tyree and husband, Duff, and Darren Young; grandchildren, Michelle Hines and husband, Gerald, Jessica Hicks and husband, Jonathan, Kathy Young, Kirk Sandlin and wife, Christina; great-grandchildren, Colleen, Jadin, Brayden, Jabin, Dakota, Cheyenne, Makayla, Zachary and Spring; and brothers, Billy and Jerry Young.
