Betty Penn Kinser

Betty Penn Kinser, 75, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Gorman, 218 W. Ross St., Gorman. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery, Ranger. Visitation: 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Betty was born July 11,1934, in Ranger. She was the second of two daughters born to E.F. (Frank) and Ola Odessa Carey Penn. She was called home to her heavenly reward on Thursday, nov. 19, 2009, at the age of 75 years. She was a Christian and member of the First Baptist Church in Gorman. Betty retired from Birdsong Peanuts in Gorman in 2004 as a logistics supervisor after 39 years of dedicated service. After retirement she worked for Garrett Aerobics, James and Jo-Anne Garrett. She was an accomplished pianist, liked to travel/vacation and spend time with her precious family and friends. If you ever had one of her home cooked meals, it was something that you would never forget. Betty was a beloved mother and me-maw to her children and grandchildren. To all that called her a friend, she so dearly loved that life long relationship. She will always be remembered, as a special lady that always gave a tremendous amount of herself and did so without ever expecting anything in return. She was a trusting child of God and her faith never wavered during life's afflictions and tribulations. She has touched and influenced so many people's lives during her life and done so in a profound everlasting manner. Our Heavenly savior has called his cherished servant home. No words can express how greatly missed she will be by those who knew and loved her. By her faith and the grace of God, she is now completely restored, smiling and walking beside her Lord Almighty. Betty's parents and husband of 43 years, Rex Kinser, and little grandson, Jamie, preceded her in death. Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Survivors: She is survived by four children, Dana Emfinger and husband, Bobby, of Eastland, Brenda Weldon of Azle, Dean Weldon of Azle, Andrew Kinser and wife, Michelle, of Stephenville; her dear sister, Dorothy Bundick of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Shane Morrow, Carey Stewart, Cori Owen, Misty Kemppainen, Josh Weldon, Kali Kinser, and Gabrielle Kinser; 11 great-grandchildren; and two step-children, Barbara Baker of Fort Worth and Margaret Atchley of Stephenville. Additionally, several nieces and nephews survive her.
